OMG. I swear, i have *never* been this freaked out, excited, overwhelmed - just totally consumed by anything as i am by this election.

I went out today and canvassed with another supporter - talked to some people and met an Army officer who told me he was a 'die-hard Republican who is voting for Obama. I'm just sick of all the bs'.

And another guy who said he's a hunter, and ex-Army, and owns a lot of guns but 'that isn't important right now. That's not what matters.' The GOP has been telling everyone - and the NRA, too - that Obama will take all your guns away!!!11BBQ!!!! The was bummed that he couldn't get a yard sign or t-shirt or anything from the Democrats - everyone around here has been totally out for weeks and weeks. So i gave him my little Obama pin i've been wearing every day.

And then, [livejournal.com profile] ely_jan linked me to the most amazing Obama picsam ever, omg. It just makes you smile, and smile, and smile....

On a purely petty note? One of the things i love the most about Michelle Obama is that she doesn't dress in that horrible, quasi-military style so many other women in politics do. No a-line skirt and tunic-jacket-with-big-gold-buttons for her, no! She wears pretty, floaty dresses and neat cardigans and she looks so *nice* and relaxed. She is one classy lady. :)

*why, yes, i am fangrrling her. you wanna say somethin'?*

And, in the spirit of non-politics....

VOTE!

Awww, pretty bebe and puss. She lovely and what a sweet little panther.

It feels like most of the world is glued to this election and is holding its breath. Noone outside of the States (except maybe Al Qaeda) wants McCain and Ms. Vacancy.

One of the bright spots of my day today was seeing an older gentleman with a cane going door to door and hanging the Obama voting thinger-ma-bobs on doorknobs. It just made me very hopeful for the future. :)

And your girl, per usual, is gorgeous.

Your kid? Cuter than a bee's knees. And definitely cuter than the kitten, which is super cute.

I've read a couple articles about Repubs and NRA types that are just sick of all the horseshit--they know no one's gonna pry anything out of their cold, dead fingers. The country has huger problems than taking away the damned boom-sticks.

Ah, Michelle Obama--love the dresses, and the legs. I'm a sucker for legs, and she's got 'em, all the way up to that big brain of hers :)

Which is actually quite a horrible mental image, taken literally. . . .
