Long time ago, I was in a library and looking for a chaptered work of fiction that was published in this literary magazine.. I was looking through different issues, trying to figure out when the story I wanted was first published, and I accidentally started reading something else. And I could not stop. And there was no deep dark pasts or secrets or break-ups or anything. It was just about fishing or hunting or something. It was so totally mundane and I remember thinking that I should be bored. It was extremely detailed and completely prosaic, not a poetic turn of phrase in sight, but reading it was like living through it. It was intense.. All that just to say that yes, the story CAN be just about two people hanging out and doing mundane stuff, if one if a good enough writer and willing to describe littlest details and make things real.
