Wow, i feel totally *weird* not having a fic to update. Sheesh. Anyway...firstly, Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow mothers! I had a totally relaxing day, when i wasn't yelling at Monstrous for wanting to be on the freaking phone *every minute*!!!! And she's only nine!! Her own phone, my ass.
Sheesh.

I talked to my own mum, and sent her an email. She's a lovely, wonderful, beautiful woman and i'm lucky and blessed and thankful to have her as my own. I must post a picture soon.

Now...let's see. [livejournal.com profile] _beetle_ analyzed me! I'm too lame to do the meme myself, but you can see what she thinks of me here. Yes, a bit of an ego-stroke. *ahem*

Both [livejournal.com profile] sweptawaybayou and [livejournal.com profile] goddessleila tagged me in the 'what does your lj name mean' meme, so - here goes.

Tabaqui *pronounced ta-bar-kee* means - according to the secretary of the Kipling Society - "...brown colour from the Hindi word for tobacco "tambaku"--which is the colour of the Jackal.". Tabaqui is also the Jackal character from 'The Jungle Books' - sly and sycophantic partner to Shere Khan the Tiger. About him, Kipling says:"It was the jackal- Tabaqui, the Dish-licker- and the wolves of India despise Tabaqui because he runs about making mischief, and telling tales, and eating rags and pieces of leather from the village rubbish heaps. But they are afraid of him too, because Tabaqui, more than anyone else in the jungle, is apt to go mad, and then he forgets that he was ever afraid of anyone, and runs through the forest biting everything in his way. Even the tiger runs and hides when little Tabaqui goes mad, for madness is the most disgraceful thing that can overtake a wild creature..

So that's me, Tabaqui. :)

I also posted a new ficlet - a special, custom-made kink!fic all for [livejournal.com profile] literati. She so graciously made these Spander icons/headers and they are *so lovely*. So - Supernatural fic for her! It's here - Dry Heat. Enjoy!

Now - the big news!

Tomorrow - Monday the 15th - i'm going into the hospital for a hysterectomy. Yay! I've endured too much pain and ooginess because of my parts, and finally finally they're going to be gone! Or, rather, 'it' is, since the ovaries stay. I expect to be home sometime on Tuesday, and i have no clue when i'll be back here - if i can, i'll make a little 'home and doing fine!' post then. An old friend of the family is doing the anesthesia and i'm confident and just...*relived*. So, share my joy! Raise a glass of wine, or juice, to the death of my girly parts!!
:)

And that's all, folks! Look for more 'SNAFU' on Tuesday at [livejournal.com profile] douse_house!
*hugs you all*

Awww...your fandom name and how to pronounce it were one of the first things I ever learned in Buffyverse fandom. *nostalges*

I clinked on your fic link and then went...oh. I don't watch that show. Heee! I will look for other things from you...yes.

I'll be thinking of you as you head off for the girl parts procedure - I know the hell girl parts ooginess can play on your body so I'm glad you're able to end the ooginess. *hugs you*

Happy Mother's Day!!!

*twirls you*

You mad, insane jackal, you. I would never have guessed.

**loves you hard**

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and sending you my best wishes and warmest thoughts for a speedy recovery.

I'm one of the few of my closest friends with my parts, but only because they shut down. My BFF Stacy just had hers, and she almost came home the same day (she went in at 5 a.m.) but her surgeon worried that he'd dropped a stitch or something. She says it's the best thing that's happened in years to her! And her Monster was home for Spring Break and made lunch for her and such.

And I meant to say that I love to be analyzed but I hate memes! So go you!

Yay for SNAFU, because I was rather alarmed when you said you had no fic.

Oh, darling. Sue as in [livejournal.com profile] crazydiamondsue clued me into what your name came from, because I was all "Tabarkee? Who is that?" hee. We were saying good things about you, I just always pronounced your name as "ta back ee" to myself. silly of me. And I just have so much love for seeing you tell the story.

Much love to you, darling. I am clicking you fic link after posting this, as YOU were the one that made me first read SPN fic and I loved it, and I adore the show. Craxy, but I do. Plus, Literati rocks.

finally, good healing thoughts are heading your way. I will lift a glass and wish you much less pain and better days. xo. Thinking of you, T.

Ah, it's good that you'll know someone in the OR. Hope everything goes very smoothly. Happy Mother's Day to you too, (though, come to think of it, a bit ironic timing the operation...)

Yipping calls are made when the family gathers. Members only respond to their own family's calls and ignore those of other individuals. Although they have long had a reputation as sneaky, skulking scavengers, research has shown jackals to be agile, lithe hunters with close-knit, cooperative family groups. They have been successful in adapting to changing environments.

Oh, I had a hysterectomy (also kept the ovaries) a year ago on Wednesday. I can tell you that it was the best decision I've ever made. The surgery was a breeze and I was nearly back to normal two weeks later. My biggest problem was right after I woke up and had trouble urinating which caused some pain and cramping, but once I was able to go, I felt okay. I haven't had any problems from it at all.

Best of luck to you *hugs*

There's a certain irony to having your girl parts removed the day after Mother's day. However, sounds like Monstrous is all the joy and frustration a parent can handle all by herself. :)

Wishing you an easy surgery and quick recovery and, most especially, an end to the pain the parts have been causing.
