They just went back and forth and back and forth about Angel's intelligence and his past. And for that matter, instead of Spike truly willingly changing from an evil/soulless monster, we find out that he was just wearing that persona and never was particularly evil, but just pretended to be, for the most part? What?
I liked the idea that he'd willingly changed himself, but then, we find out he was still a mama's boy after he was changed, and the first thing he thought of was changing his mother instead of eating them, like vampire's are supposed to. They totally stole his transformation from him when they did that.
Oh, and then, he gets on Angel, and he's back to being the jackass/smart-mouthing Spike I fell in love with. Thank god. I was so sick of that puppy that followed Buffy around. I hated that.
