You want "stranger" just as in foreigner, or also stranger as someone you simply don't know? Someone you don't know would be zar (male) or zarah (female). As for foreigner, it would be nochri (male) or nochriyah (female). The 'ch' sound is like the sound in Pesach (passover) or chala (the bread) if you're familiar with those. I guess all the Hebrew-English dictionaries that give you a transliteration of the words are weird ones. There's this one that seems to be pretty good, but you need to be able to read Hebrew to use it. They do have "stranger" in there, LOL.
